Requirements

Waggin' Tails Doggie Day Care is committed to insuring that every dog has a great time in a clean, safe environment during his or her visit. In order to do so, we have implemented the following requirements:

Health

•Dogs must be in good health. This means no coughing, sneezing, runny eyes and/or nose, vomiting, diarrhea, or lethargy (abnormally low energy or sluggishness). If your dog is showing any of these symptoms, please keep him or her home! It would also be a good idea to contact your dog's veterinarian.

•Dogs must be spayed or neutered if older than 6 months.

•     All dogs must be current on their Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordatella (kennel cough). The Canine Influenza (H3N8) vaccination is also strongly recommended.

•     All dogs must also be on some type of flea and tick prevention, such as Frontline, Advantage, etc.

Waggin' Tails requires a current copy of your dog's vaccination records to be kept in your dog's file. Please bring this copy to Waggin' Tails during your dog's first visit.

Behavior

In general, dogs must be friendly with other dogs, willing to share toys and space, and not have a history of any type of aggressive behavior.

Because of our routine work with our dog trainer, we are in some cases able to work with certain issues that may not completely fit in with the above requirements.

We will perform a free behavior evaluation on your dog prior to the first day care visit to assess behaviors, any potential issues, and make sure that Waggin’ Tails is a suitable environment for your dog.
